Graphic designer and CGI technology specialist, Michael Tompert discover the beauty of smashed, crushed, sledge-hammered and torched Apple products, and turned those destroyed products into an art pieces.
Tompert, an ex-employee of Apple bought brand new products such as the iPhone, iPad, iPod nanos and MacBook Airs, the destroyed them using different methods… like saw, hand gun, sledge hammer, blow torch or being crushed by a rampaging train. He also ask Paul Fairchild, his photographer friend to take pictures of the destroyed Apple products.
The idea for the said project came to Tompert after he gave each of his two sons an iPod touch for Christmas. Then, the two boys fought over one of the devices, which had a certain game on it. Fed up with the quarrel, Tompert said he grabbed one of the iPods and smashed it on the ground.
